In addition to hibernating with my baby and occasionally jumping off my back porch into record-breaking amounts of snow I’ve also been hard at work over this long brutal winter to bring tons of exciting changes to my business in 2015. I’ll be sharing lots of great information over the next few weeks and months but one of the most important things I’ve been doing is streamlining my documentary family photography to focus almost exclusively on day-in-the-life documentaries, what I call my “In Between Sessions.” I was so excited to travel with my son down to Philadelphia to capture a full weekend in the life of my dear dear friends the Paradiso Family. I grew up with this Mama and in addition to being one of the kindest and funniest people I know, she has established herself as one of the premier wedding cake designers and bakers in Philly (Check out her work and look for images from the bakery on the blog soon). She’s managed to build a successful business from the ground up while loving on her wonderful husband and creating a perfect mini-human. Together this family is unstoppable, and they’re working every day to enjoy life and focus on what’s most important – loving and laughing together. You’ll see a few photo-bombs by my son in this set, I just couldn’t help sneaking him in 🙂
I am trying out a new blog layout and would love to hear any and all feedback. As I continue to become a better story-teller I want my images to not only tell a story as a set but have each image be a story in and of itself. As such, this gallery style puts the focus on each individual frame. If you’re on a desktop, use the arrows to slide through the images, if you’re on a mobile device you can swipe to advance. Let me know how you like it in the comments!
