new blog, new babies, old friends

I can think of no better inaugural post for my new and improved blog than one that involves some of my favorite people in the world.  The amazing team of Jessica Love Photography was unable to make it back for Massachusetts for Thanksgiving, but Teddy and I just couldn’t wait to meet their baby Finn.  Seneca Lake in upstate New York just happens to be exactly halfway between Boston and Columbus, Ohio and thus served as the beautiful location for our impromptu weekend getaway.

And here he is, in person, the Finnbot!  I love him, and I love his parents.

Finn and Teddy are only 2 months apart and they’re obviously going to be best friends

We basically only had one full day together, so we packed it with baby-playing, wine-tasting, lake-walking, and obviously lots and lots of picture-taking.

I know you’re supposed to leave your work at home when you go on vacation, but I couldn’t help holding a few mini-shoots.  Mike and Jessica are wedding photographers and wanted to know what it was like to be on the other side of the camera.  I was happy to oblige.

Stephen and Katie didn’t ask me to take their photo, but they had no say in the matter 🙂
I love these men

And finally, thanks Stephen for obliging my need to experiment with flashes when it was 25 degrees outside

I had a wonderful weekend and it was worth the 16 hour round-trip drive just to see how much my son is loved by my dear friends. Looking forward to our next rendez-vous, hopefully the view will be this good next time!

xoxo,

klc
