I have family in the DC metro area and travel down there about once a year – thus the city feels comfortable and familiar while always giving me plenty to explore. So when Marlaena and Tom floated the idea of me coming down to DC for their engagement session I jumped at the chance. They showed me new corners of the city I hadn’t seen before and we all just had a really fun afternoon together. This session is another example of why the personality of your photographer is so important. There is no way I would have been able to get such honest and fun photos of these two if we all weren’t having a genuinely good time. Shout-out to the artists Mr. Brainwash and Bryon Summers for the kick-ass murals and artwork on the Union Market Building that I integrated into the shoot.
And thanks to Exiles Bar for letting us hang and have a few pints! Looking forward to being back in DC for Marlaena & Tom’s wedding in May – see you then, kids!
