Katie is special. She’s interesting. She’s a talented artist, a singer and lover of music, a complete goofball, and always quick with a face-cracking smile. She’s lived around the world – concurrently enjoying the ride while always searching, sometimes in places as far away as New Zealand and Thailand, for a place, or a person, who felt like home. She found that home in Pete. He’s more reserved and often lets his wife take the spotlight, but he’s equally as smart, interesting, and passionate as his wife. She’s the fire while he’s her rock. Katie was the last of her three sisters to get married (I photographed sister Sarah’s wedding last year) and she just knew that a traditional wedding wasn’t the right fit for her and Pete. So they enlisted their good friend to pedi-cab them around the city, exchanged ridiculously emotional and private vows together at City Hall, and then visited some of their favorite Boston cultural institutions for photos with the lucky me in tow. It was such a wonderful afternoon and perfectly THEM. So grateful to share this private and beautiful day with two friends.
I truly love these two and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. When their life together starts with this much overflowing happiness great things inevitably follow.
